AsyncFileUpload of AJAX Control Toolkit May 2011

12 May 2011

Just announced new release of  AJAX Control Toolkit has fixed bugs in AsyncFileUpload. As stated following issued has been fixed:

  • work in master pages
  • work when ClientIDMode=”Static”
  • work with Firefox 4
  • work when multiple AsyncFileUploads included in the same page
  • generated markup which is HTML5 compatible

AsyncFileUpload allowed file uploading without postback. It has a property PersistFile which, when set to true, allows uploaded file to be stored in Session state. Thus user needs to upload a file only once if multiple postbacks occur (on validation error for example).

The file uploading results can be checked both in the server and client sides. File can be saved by calling the SaveAs() method during UploadedComplete event.

Description of AsyncFileUpload Events, Properties and Methods could be read here.
